SM LC UPC Fast Connector For CATV FTTH Network

The LC UPC Fast Connector provide an efficient and economic toolless alternative to terminating fibers and simplify installation without the need for a fusion splicer. It is available for 0.9mm, 2.0mm, 3.0mm diameter fiber cable. The tail boot is for locking fiber and binding aramid fiber. The resulting connection using the connector results is an average insertion loss of about 0.4dB.

For field assembly installer, the fast connector is small and easy to carry and also can be reused 10 times and the service life time is more than 20 years.

Assembly

First, put the screw boot through fiber cable and use the fiber stripping 3-in-1 pliers tool to remove outer jacket. Second, check the stripping scale of fiber coating. Third, use the cleaning paper with sanitizer to clean the bare fiber. Fourth, place the cable into the cable clamp and use optical cleaver to cut off the extra bare fiber following the stripping scale. Fifth, insert bare fiber into the fast connector body and use the fiber checker to ensure its function. Sixth, push in the tail sleeve to the clamp point to lock the sheath cable, move up the switch to connect the optical fiber, and complete the assembly.
